As of from September I have been fortunate enough to have obtained another placement. The main company is called 'The Dot Factory' which provide a variety of services including: design, direct marketing, photography and print.
(Above is my design of the CD sleeve that we will give to clients with
all the images that they have required from the shoot. I also designed
the logo and brand identity for the 'WeAreDot' department).
However for just over a year 'The Dot Factory' have opened a new department called 'We Are Dot', which specialises in fashion photography and the production of everything a photo shoot involves including; sourcing locations, scouting models, hiring make-up artists e.t.c.
'We Are Dot', is the department of the company I work for and I mainly work as the graphic designer that is linked usually to the companies that are requiring photographs for things like look-books and other promotional material.
I also assist for international fashion photographer (Darren Lennon) on photo-shoots and help look after clients with the international production manager (Dean Young). It is really good experience being involved with the shoots as you get to see not just what the fashion photographer does but all the other aspects of the shoots which is very important otherwise it wouldn't be possible. (I will post some of the shoots up very shortly).
